|a. How do you describe yourself?||I am an ambiverted person, who is both introverted and extroverted. I often feel comfortable alone or with people I am close with. I can communicate freely with people I know and I have a lot of energy around them. I am a disciplined individual as I can regulate my emotions and behaviors. I am also ambitious and goal-oriented, and I will go all out to achieve my goals.|
|b. What are your strengths and weaknesses?||- I am good at listening to people as well as speaking up when needed. I can lend an ear to others and give them advice that can help with their problems. I can speak in front of many people, and I know when is suitable to raise my voice. I am also cautious in my actions. I take time to make decisions, as I need to consider the consequences and also the alternatives of my decisions. I make decisions based on rationality, I judge and evaluate things carefully.|
- I can get distracted easily due to both internal and external reasons. Specifically, external reasons may be noises..., while internal reasons are my weak resistance to temptation. This results in procrastination in my work. Sometimes I fear to share my opinions, because I think my opinions might not be unique or innovative enough to contribute to the whole topic.
|c. Which Extra-curricular activities did you join in the past?||UEH Flashmob Competition 2022 + ISB Welcome Night 2022: Prismatic: DANCER of the ISB Dance Crew. I marked these 2 events as "landmarks" because I was courageous to step out of my comfort zone, from applying for the crew to being on stage for the first time. I have gained my experience in performing and became more confident. |
ISB Teambuilding 2022: In A Loop. I joined this event as a COLLABORATOR in PERFORMANCE TEAM. From this activity, I have known how an event team prepares and organizes an event, how the logistics process takes place. Also, I gained more experience and confidence in performing as well as the professionalism in the job.
In short, I think there are two most precious things that I have gained/learned from those activity. Firstly, I have had new friendship and new relationships. Secondly, I have acquired the ability to bear the high pressure as well as the hectic schedule in preparation and organization for an event, because I joined 3 successive events in 3 months.
3. UNDERSTANDING OF ISB EVENT TEAM:
|a. What do you know about ISB Event Team?||ISB Event Team is a team specialized in organizing events for ISB as well as UEH. ISB Event Team was founded in 2016, and until now it has 7 generations. There are 4 departments: Content & Logistics, Public Relations, External Relations and Human Resources. ET Spirits is " If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." ET always tries to find the best fit for each department, each position. There are many events that ET holds, e.g. ISB Go, ISB Teambuilding, ISB Games, ISB Welcome Night...|
|b. Why did you decide to apply to become a collaborator of ISB Event Team?||Firstly, through previous events hold by ET and publications introduced by ET, I am really impressed by the PR Department. Hence, I want to contribute to the PR Department, in which my desirable work field is photography. I want to created impressive media publications to help ISB Event Team attract more audience. In order to do that, I need to have experience related to photography, and I believe ET is the most suitable team for me to improve my skills. Apart from PR Department, I also hope to contribute to HR Department, if I become a collaborator of ISB Event Team. Personally, I enjoy working with people and dealing with them, also I believe HR tasks in ET can provide me with essential skills for my future career in HRM. Secondly, I am also impressed by the professionalism of each ET member and collaborator, thus I really want to be a part of ET to train myself such professional working manner and attitude. Thirdly, I believe that when I become a collaborator of ET, I can find out new facets, new skills that I have not explored before, I can also learn from my seniors and contemporaries to improve myself better.|

|a. List all the steps that you think are necessary to hold an event. Which is the most important? Why?||- Firstly, storming. This is the phase when an organizer brainstorms, sets the objectives for the event. The goals should be realistic and achievable. In addition, a core team is formed in this stage.|
- Secondly, planning. This is the phase when an organizer comes up with detailed plans including budget, sponsorship, main plans, back-up plans and alternatives for the event. Each department of the core team takes responsibility for its specialized tasks. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP because in order for the next stages to be conducted smoothly, a completed and detailed plan is needed. If there is a lack of planning, an event cannot take place and goals cannot be achieved.
- Thirdly, putting plan on action. Along with carrying out plan to prepare for the event, the organizer should also supervise and examine the progress of the plan to make sure everything function as planned.
- Fourthly, hosting the event based on the planned timeline. The organizer should double-check the plan before holding the event, and during the event the timeline should be carried out as planned. The core team should act quickly if there is any incident.
- Lastly, evaluating the event. Take notes of what was done well, what went wrong and what could be done better. Receive feedbacks from participators. These act as lessons for the organizer to perform better in future events.

|1. In your own words, how can visuals influence the promotion of an event?||Visuals often attract readers/viewers first, then comes content. Visuals, for example, a graphic design or a photo, can grab the attention of viewers when they first encounter the post. An impressive, effectively-used visual can help to give out the content to the audience right in the design/photo/video..., or it can make audience learn more about the content written in the post. By building the concept of visuals relevant to an event, the visuals will be the signature of that event. Using appropriate colors/design style/graphics can influence the feelings and impression on audience, hence it will determine whether the event will be promoted widely or not.|
|2. Give a general comment about ISB Event Team’s publications in both online and printed materials. Which publications impressed you the most? Briefly explain.||In my viewpoint. ISB Event Team's publications are well-created. Both designs and shooting products are prepared carefully and creates the synchronization with the concept of an event. |
Personally, I was really impressed by the official trailer for ISB GAMES 2022 - RE:START. The shooting angle of each scene is brilliant , the transition and video effect are very smooth. Also, the choice of BGM also contributes to the effect of the whole trailer, as it has a suitable tempo for the trailer of sport games which influences viewer's feelings and emotions. Moreover, the acting of actors and actresses in the trailer helps to reflect the vibe, the energy of the event.
